Brayden's Sweet Heart. . my boy is 4!

Yesterday was Brayden's 4th birthday! Oh my boy! I can't believe he's so old already! For his birthday this year, we spent the morning on Saturday at Go Diego Go LIVE (I know, you guys are completely jealous! ha ha) Brayden LOVED it! We went with my mom, my MIL and my sister and her kiddos, as well as our friend Nancy. They had a blast. Then, on his actual birthday, I let him pick some friends to take to Monkey Joe's after church. We stopped by Wendy's on the way there (hello, how much do I love Dollar menues?!) then headed to jumping on inflatables! It was actually a BLAST. We left the little ones at my in laws for nap time, so we were free to play. Our friends Jared and Jen started it off right by Jared tagging one of the guyes (yes, an adult) and running like crazy through one of the inflatables. This was serious exercise for us! I even hurt myself! What fun! I love this first picture, b/c it completely captures Brayden excited face!

Brayden is such a sweet boy. He is shy if you don't know him well, but warms up easily. Once he loves you, you have captured the sweetest boys heart! He is such a great friend, loving and sharing and so caring about his friends. Having a girl as his best friend for his first few years of life made him more sensitive I think! Brayden has such a gentle heart and I love how he is learning to care for others. He also loves to tease now and cracks us up constantly. He is a WONDERFUL big brother and has been from the first meeting of both Gracie and Davis! He loves to help them, teach them and just plain hug on them. Seriously, he is a JOY! Just tonight, he received a gift of $5 in the mail for his birthday. Then, tonight at dinner, he received a bank and change to put in it. On the way home he told us that he has $7. "Oh, really. . what can you buys for $7, Brayden?" we ask. "A MOSQUITO NET!" he shouts, "I want to give all my money to the kids in Liberia to help them stay safe from the mean mosquitos so they don't get sick.". In fact, later. . I took out the $2 from his bank and the $5 from his card and I went to put the rest of his change back in the bank and he freaked out. . "NO, ALL the money is for the kids!". I explained that he could keep that $.53 and wait to put that money in the net fund for another week. What a kid! What 4 year old does that all on his own?! He just loves the Lord and wants to serve others. When he sees need, he wants to help meet it. . I love that! This boy also can't WAIT to go to Africa on a safari one day! We keep telling him to ask Grandad and it may be a couple of years! Happy Birthday, sweet boy! We love you and are so incredibly thankful to have you as our boy! We can't wait to see how God will use your soft, sweet heart for His Glory!
