Father's Day thoughts. . .and sweet pics!

Yes, yesterday was Father's Day. . .however, I'm not the best wife ever! In fact, Greg has WONDERFULLY been around so much lately, that the kids and I didn't get a chance to surprise him in any way. However, yesterday at church, Father's Day suddenly became incredibly special to me. . . we sang this incredible song, through which I cry every time. It's called, I have a Maker and illustrates how God is our Father with this verse: "I have a father, he calls me his own He'll never leave me, no matter where I go". I always cry for I have so many friends who I just long to experience this truth in new and fresh ways every Father's Day, which can be such a hard day. Then, it hit me. Davis has a Daddy now. You know, Mother's Day was sweet b/c it was my first with Davis. .but, he had a mother last Mother's Day. This is the first Father's Day he has ever experienced with a Daddy. I am in awe of who God is when I think of that. I am so thankful that HE in HIS wisdom chose Greg to be this little boy's daddy. Davis, as with all of our children, adores his daddy. He knows the practical, earthly truth now that he "has a daddy, he calls me his own." Well, if that doesn't make you cry, what will?! Thank you Jesus for providing my sweet children with an amazing daddy who loves them and models YOU for them. Thank you especially, this week for providing this particular Fatherless boy with an earthly Father. I praise you for that amazing work and pray for all of the children around the world who do not experience that truth today. . may your arms reach down and hold them. May you provide tangible people who choose to be your arms in many ways. We love you, DADDY, Abba-Father!

So, to honor Greg, we decided to do a little photo shoot in some of his favorite clothes so he has updated pictures for his office! Here are our results! This was the best I could get. .cute, but not all looking at the camera. . it was, however, the ONLY picture I got of all 3 of them looking near the camera. . Gracie was in quite the mood!
Greg loves this dress on Gracie. . .doesn't she look beautiful? (you'd never guess she was being awful 10 sec. prior to this shot!)
My handsome boy!
The best brothers around! They walk into our room hand in hand every morning and ADORE each other mightily. . Bray teaches Davis every day something new!
Handsome little guy, isn't he?!

PS: Check out the updated thermometer! Yeah! We have a bit of a competition going on now in the LemonAID world! Check out the Laird family who are giving us a run for our money! Also, check out the Penner's blog for an update soon. . they had a bakesale at their swim meet tonight! You can pray for us tomorrow night as we'll be doing another lemonAID stand at a friend's house for the evening!
