Drink Your Milk, Dummy!

I'm not a huge fan of being pregnant. I've done it twice. Some things I loved. I loved feeling that sweet baby moving around. I looked fairly cute and LOVED not having to suck in my stomach. I didn't have any horrible physical problems. . except one. About 10 minutes after EVERY meal, I threw up. Yes, 3-10 times a day I would empty my stomach. I have thrown up in every restaurant, parking lot or friends bathroom in Orlando! Well, as a result I now have Osteopenia, a step above Osteoperosis. My doctor told me to exercise more and take calcium.
I took up running. In fact, I went from not running at all to running 10 miles every Saturday within 2 months. I didn't take my calcium or drink my milk.
Apparently there are 3 or 4 major causes of Stress Fractures. 1: running, 2: increasing time, intensity or type of exercise quickly and 3: bone density issues. Um, yeah. I think I have a stress fracture in my foot! Self-diagnosed, of course. Though not fully. . .both Pastor Jon and Cathy helped me diagnose my complaining self today at church.
Now, I'm out of running for a few weeks (or until it feels better), am wearing an oh so beautiful brace and DEFINITELY drinking 2 big glasses of milk tonight and taking my calcium!

Ouch! I hope it heals quickly. And there is nothing worse than throwing up on the side of the road or in a parking lot. That is something I will NOT miss about pregnancy!

I never run myself, it's not biblical. Proverbs 28:1 says, "the wicked man runs when no one is chasing him". ha ha
Seriously, I hope it feels better soon; when the feet hurt the whole body is miserable. Love you!

Pregnancy sure does change your body in MANY ways!! The things we sacrifice for our growing babies!! Take of yourself! I would say stay of your foot, but we all know that is impossible with three little ones!

I found out last week that I have a stress fracture in each foot. Took me a week and half of limping around to finally go to the doctor. I have some very lovely shoes that I have to wear for 12 weeks. I also have some lovely pain medication.

Ah man! I am so proud of the insane progress you have made in such a short period of time. I'm sorry for this.

Can you ride a bike?
