Head's Still Spinning / Trip Prayer Requests

The weekend was WONDERFUL! Thanks for praying for our Women's Retreat this weekend. I don't have pictures, but others do. Check out Kelly's Blog, Jen's Blog. . and I'm sure Cassie, Jaime and Jess will post soon too!

We had a blast and thankfully things went off without a hitch. I'm pretty exhausted, but it was all well worth it. We learned a lot from Beth Moore (via video) about Loving Well and had a great time connecting with the other ladies of Westwood.

After packing everything back up and heading home in time to unload the van and rush home. . .I got home at 6 pm and we headed straight to a family dinner at my sister's.

That left just today to finish packing, run to the libraries, get last minute stuff at Target, meet Jess for lunch at Chick Fil A (I needed to have some fun with the kids and eat my last fast food meal!), head to party city to get enough balloons to do balloon animals for 1000 kids, grab meds from CVS and pack my carry-ons! whoosh, are you tired with me?

Tomorrow morning we head to UGANDA!!!! I am so excited. I am really going to try to find internet every day and blog. I know that this is what you guys really want to read about!

Things to pray for:
1. Discernment. . pretty much all around! Discernment for HopeChest on their next steps in Uganda, discernment for Westwood Church to know what our next steps should be in orphan care, discernment for Greg and I in our relationship with HopeChest.

2. Group Unity. . .We will be a group of 11 and then 15 (a family is meeting us halfway through). Except for Greg, Jon and Jamin, is new to us. Pray that our group is unified, gets along well and learns more about Jesus together

3. Logistics and Food. . .pray for the trip details, safety, travels, etc. . also pray specifically for our food. I'm not such an adventurous eater!

4. Spiritual Growth. . .pray that the Lord uses this trip in many ways. To open our eyes, to see HIM, to hear from Him, to be changed by HIM!

5. Our kiddos. . .they'll be with Grandma and Grandpa overnight and will be spending time with the Nees, Jess and family, my parents, my sister and Monica. Pray for their sleep, their obedience and their little hearts! Pray also for the families keeping them or helping with them.

We covet your prayers and appreciate them greatly. Love you,

Enjoy every minute my friend! I think I still have some Uganda on some shoes!

And those things that fly out of the ground at dusk after a really good rain... they make a great bedtime snack!

Love you!
