We are HERE! Here is the Africana Hotel in Kampala (the capital city). After 25 hours on the road. . well, in the air actually. . .we are ready! I had to take a quick minute to update you guys though! In fact, the business office was closed so they couldn't sell internet access passwords. . have I told you how great it is to be blond in Africa? The nice man at the front desk simply opened the managers office and I am blogging from his work computer!!
Uganda is much different than flying into Liberia. The airport was very nice and the city looks very urban. . .maybe compared to Liberia everywhere would look urban? Can I tell you the greatest thing in the world? Breathing in African air. Once in the bus, I opened the window and breathed deep. I didn't even know you could miss a smell so much. It just smelled like Africa. A mix of earth, fire and possibly diesel! Thank you Jesus for bringing me back to this continent that you've placed so heavily on my heart. I adore you!
Tomorrow morning, we eat breakfast here and then head to Jinja. I am beyond excited. Katie Borchert will be meeting us there (another Liberian adoptive mama who lives here right now). We'll drop our stuff off at the hotel and head to Canaan Children's Home and then to Amazima (Katie Davis' place!). . oh how I can't wait to see those kiddos!!! On Friday, we head to Bethesda Int'l and we'll get to see the school that YOU GUYS helped kids attend and the progress on the well to bring them clean water!
Thanks for taking this virtual missions trip with us. . .I'll try to take tons of pictures and update you with everything going on. I can't wait to not only meet some precious little ones tomorrow, but to get back to my computer and introduce them to you.
Love you guys!

I am so glad you are "home"! May God bless you Brandi and keep you safe.
I know you are going to love every minute. Looking forward to hear what you learn.
So thankful you are there safe and sound. The kids are great, they slept well and so did we!!!! They (mostly Gracie) ask every few minutes about when you are coming back. Davis just wants to know where you are.
Looking forward to all the updates... Love you, Mom and Dad
