We then headed to Amazima Ministries. . you know, Katie Davis'!!! As soon as we pulled up, we heard the singing. . .beautiful LOUD singing! I can tell you that walking into that room brought tears to my eyes. Meeting the children that my friend gives her life for was moving beyond measure. Oh Katie (I know you are reading this) I LOVE them!!! Ms. Olive spoke for many minutes about the hope that you give them. . about your inspiration. . about your love for them. . .above and beyond any muzungu (white person) they have ever seen. It was incredible sitting with little Sarah on my lap. (check back stories on Katie's blog for her story) Having spent many tears crying over that little one waking up to her mama dead and then holding her in real life was almost surreal. Uncle Raul taught the kids and sang songs next which was just precious! Katie, we can see his sweet heart for Jesus! The kids learned about Saul's conversion in real words that helped them apply it! Then, it was off to dinner. For most of the kiddos, this was probably their only meal of that day and they ate it! They were so excited to have the added benefit of chicken for dinner tonight too. . hey, we have to make it a party when we come to town! (PS for anyone wanting to help Katie out ever, they can add chicken to their dinner for $65). All that to say. . I just LOVE these children! Katie, I spent most of the evening with sweet Agnus!! She didn't want me to leave. . .I think I must have reminded her of you! She just kept burying her head in my chest and hugging me. . oh my, i could have stayed there all night! I will tell you guys that these kids MISS their "Mommy Katie". Katie is back in the states for college and desparately wants to come home (here!) for Christmas. If you want to help that happen, you can. Do you have american express points, you can call Continental and add them to One Pass account GV852492 yep, I'm always trying to promote someone! Make fun of me sure. . but go give some of your credit card points to help these kids see someone who has poured Jesus love into them!

This morning was spent at Canaan Children's home. It was a wonderful morning. . but unfortunately, blogger is having trouble adding more pics. . so you just have 3 from there! We spent our time making balloon animals and playing with little ones. This was an amazing place. . but I'll write more when I can post pictures. I just had to get to this precious picture of Christine (one of the girls on our trip) Isn't this sweet? We were also met today by Katie Borchert and her sweet Liberians. . .what fun that was!! It was crazy to actually meet Katie HERE in Uganda! She is a gem and her kids are fabulous!!! I'll add those pics later too!
