It's a Bird, It's a . . .

PLANE!

Today, it is SUCH a beautiful day outside, that I wanted to plan something fun for the kids to do. I was already going downtown to vote (so that I could pick Greg up and he could sit in the car with the kids. . you certainly didn't think I was taking them all with me, right?) So, I had the grand plan to pack a picnic lunch and head down to the airport. Jess met me with Abbie and Jordan (Cassie's youngest) and we drove around the airport until we found this great field! We parked, set out our lunch and ate with the planes flying straight over our heads. The field was right up against the airport fence so the planes were super low b/c they were just taking off. The kids loved it. . mostly Davis who kept asking for another one (as if we controlled them!). They'd stand and point and then race to "catch it". Later, they enjoyed just running through the field and playing who knows what. We realized that this is probably how some of your kids live (Amber and Donna!) with lots of property to explore. . . and we loved it. What a great, relaxing day! The bonus: I got GREAT pictures too, so they'll actually remember it!

Great pics! Looks like a blast. It's been stinkin cold here (okay... 50 degrees). We had a great inside day!

Love y'all,
Jena

PS... Did you want to get back on an airplane?

I heard Jordan didn't really like the planes until the end. He is like that.

So fun! I have always wanted to do that here, I just wasn't sure where you could. There is a park at Dallas' airport where we went to once and Graham loved it.
