I've Got Nothing. . .

As you know, I've been getting a ton out of my time in the Word lately. . .but, this? I got nothing. . .

Deuteronomy 25:11 -12
"When two men are in a fight and the wife of the one man, trying to rescue her husband, grabs the genitals of the man hitting him, you are to cut off her hand. Show no pity."

I do not doubt that God chose what exactly to put into scripture and I am not calling into question His plans. . .but, seriously? This happened enough that it needed to be included? Craziness!!!

PS. More profound thoughts from Deuteronomy to come. . .though judging by the # of comments I got on "Google Silliness" vs. my thoughts on Numbers. . .well, you might not be waiting on the edges of your seats! haha I'll still write though b/c this is my journal to print off later and I want to chronicle my amazing time in Levitius, Numbers and Deuteronomy (who knew?!)

I am about to pee my pants! I have to look that up for myself now. Maybe that is why it is in there...

It's hard to comment on something someone else is learning.

I am going to just start commenting "read it"

Not that you comment on my blog that often.

LOL! Maybe it didn't happen often, maybe He just put it in there for one person. He leaves the 99 to save the 1, you know....
Love you-

I do not think I realized that was in Scripture! Very interesting. I'll have to log that one away :)

HAHAHA! That's hysterical. I think it's very funny and odd to find things like that in the Bible. Obviously it serves a purpose, but maybe not to you in particular in this day and age ;)

The command in 25:11-12 was probably intended to protect both womanly modesty and the capacity of a man to produce heirs.
