Big Day - Pray on Wednesday

Wednesday is a big day for Uganda. Will you join us in prayer today?

When you wake up Wednesday morning, it will be mid-day in Uganda. There is a team from North Carolina that will be driving to the Teso Region to visit 2 possible carepoints in the Amuria district on Wednesday and Thursday. They will be feeding 300 kids at each site. This area has been hit extremely hard by the current famine and many of these children haven't eaten in days. Praise the LORD for this precious team! Pray for their hearts as they interact with the children of Wera and Kepeleyonge and for direction and discernment as they seek God's face in how they should partner in Uganda.

Wednesday night here in the states, there will be a church meeting to decide on further steps and direction for their involvement in Adacar, a subdistrict of the Katakwi District. Please pray for God's clear voice to be heard on this issue. Pray that this church would know exactly what their next steps would be. .pray also for these precious children that someone would step up to the plate to sponsor this site, if it's not this church!

These children are so precious to our Father and are hurting so badly. The lack of food is just breaking my heart every day. I will be posting more about it very soon. The crisis is mounting and you guys need to know. . to pray more fervently and to help us do something! Expect a big post on this sometime in the next week. We are finalizing details. . .

For today, though. . just pray. Pray for the Teso Region that God's name will be made great. Pray for these specific groups of Americans who are considering their own involvement that they may know God's heart and plans for them. . not just to redeem Uganda, but to change us too.

Definitely praying! That first picture of all the kids trying to be seen in the picture really got to me. I am guilty sometimes of not really looking at them. They want to be seen! God wants them to be seen! Thank you for giving them the chance :)

Praying!

All this rain has given me a new understanding of what it must be like to try and figure out how to provide for their family during a famine. After praying for rain there was so much that it has killed all my plants. It washed away all my new seedlings I was starting for the garden. Thankfully it was not my only food source and I had not spent all my money on the seeds I planted.
