Catch Up With Me

I don't have a long time to blog...gotta get back to writing.

Oh yeah...did I tell you I was co-writing a book? I'm LOVING the process. Almost done...just 3 chapters left! I'll post more about it when I'm done. I think Rag Doll deserves its own post all together :-)

Let's see....people have been asking me how I'm doing....

Colorado- I LOVE IT!!!!!

I love the weather! While it's cold here, the sun is almost always shining. You wouldn't believe the difference this makes! If it's 30 degrees and sunny I am totally fine! We don't have a ton of snow but I LOVE it when it comes. I'm ready for more :-) The kids haven't gotten to do a ton of sledding or snow man making yet! Often, even when I wake up to a beautiful snowy yard, it's melted by the time schools out!

I love my house! Um, Christie is right...basements ROCK :-) I love the amount of space we have and the way we laid it out (thanks Jess!). It's homey and roomy at the same time.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the view. I will never get tired of these mountains, often I am stopped in my tracks. When I turn the corner and see the view I am left breathless.

I love the close proximity of everything! I don't have to leave a 4 mile radius! Work, Target, Walgreens, Chick Fil A, both boys schools, church, the Y and the Giordanos are all within this radius. We have left a few times to get to the Mudd's :-) (they live about 25 min away)

I love our new church! Leaving Westwood was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I am so thankful that we have found a sweet church home. The worship is amazing and the teaching is on fire. We have met a few people so far but are still getting connected. One of the pastors adopted 2 sweeties from Swaziland and I've gotten together with her (Laura, the wife) a few times. She even brought us dinner the first week we moved in and then AGAIN when I was sick!

I feel very relaxed right now.... with the boys being in school half days, my life is very scheduled. We get up, bring the boys to school and then often Gracie and I will go out for bfast or just head home to do laundry. Afternoons are spent doing lunch, naps and homework. Life feels very laid back for me right now.

Spiritually, the Lord is doing a work in my heart. I think getting me away from everything has allowed me to focus on Him more. I believe He is doing surgery on my heart. It's a good, deep, heart work where He is seeking and gaining access to parts of me that I didn't even know about! He is literally taking me apart and revealing things I hadn't even known I'd believed about myself...areas I hadn't even known were wounded and bringing HIS sweet healing and truth. I just started reading "Hinds Feet on High Places" again and it's just how I feel. He's calling me higher and deeper with Him...a scary, painful process that I know will be beautiful.

I'm sorry that for most of you I've been horrible at keeping up with you. I haven't read blogs in ages and even FB time has been limited. Also, with the lack of a long drive, I find myself talking on the phone less! Greg'll be gone most of this month (he gets to go to S. Africa, Swaziland and Uganda!!!) so I'll prolly have LOTS more computer time :-)

Love you guys...and thanks for caring about me

Look at the beach girl trading over to the mountains :) I have too agree though. There is not much prettier than those Colorado mountains. It's one of my favorite places to go.

You have been on my heart so much and I am so glad to hear you are so happy! I am VERY jealous of the proximity of your daily activities. So glad to finally find your blog again too. I saw that it had changed domain names, but then when I tried to log onto the new one, it would never load. Anyway, thanks so much the update. Keep them coming!
