What a blessing. . .

Today, my little Davis is sick. Poor thing. I don't think he's had a fever since he's been home. He acts so confused by how he is feeling. This afternoon he'd just whine and lay in my arms. He wasn't happy unless he was in my presence. I was happy to just hold him.

As I was watching him in the bath later tonight, it struck me just how blessed I am to be Mama to this sweet boy. I can't imagine the other children in the world who don't have a mama to kiss away their tears and hold them when they are feverish. I thought of the over 1,000 children in Uganda that we are looking for sponsors for that are living in Child Headed Households. No Mama there. . .and no big strong Daddy to scare away the boogie man either. Just children.

Today, join me in praying for them. Consider sponsoring some of them. These children are separated into villages. . .so, if you don't think your church or business can sponsor 100 children, consider these little ones. You can sponsor a village of 25 kids and make a difference. (contact me if you are interested! Brandi (@) Kidslake(dot)org )

So, tonight I will hold my son a little closer. . .look deeply into his eyes and tell him how precious I think he is and how blessed I am to be his Mama . .and pray that our Father who is the Father to the Fatherless will hold HIS precious children close tonight and look forward to the day when I get to be His hands and feet in loving on them soon.

Kiss that boy for me. He look so sad in the picture. Tell him that Aunt Laura loves him!

I wish we could snuggle all the babies... so excited for you to be able to go back to Uganda again, to share your vision with the people you are bringing on the trip!

This same burden keeps me up at night too. God is continually breaking my heart for the fatherless. I want to do all I can but I also want other people to be motivated along side of me so that we may work together and accomplish more. I am so glad we share the same heart for the orphan. This helps me to see that I am not crazy, just "ruined". I hope your sweet son feels better soon and I am so glad God brought him home to you.

Brandi,
Ditto the above message from Welcome to four... God has laid orphans and Africa on my heart. I'm still waiting for a clear answer to what besides praying he wants me to do. Please e-mail me regarding your trip and how the sponsorships work crucker@tznet.com
