What a blessing. . .

Today, my little Davis is sick. Poor thing. I don't think he's had a fever since he's been home. He acts so confused by how he is feeling. This afternoon he'd just whine and lay in my arms. He wasn't happy unless he was in my presence. I was happy to just hold him.

As I was watching him in the bath later tonight, it struck me just how blessed I am to be Mama to this sweet boy. I can't imagine the other children in the world who don't have a mama to kiss away their tears and hold them when they are feverish. I thought of the over 1,000 children in Uganda that we are looking for sponsors for that are living in Child Headed Households. No Mama there. . .and no big strong Daddy to scare away the boogie man either. Just children.

So, tonight I will hold my son a little closer. . .look deeply into his eyes and tell him how precious I think he is and how blessed I am to be his Mama . .and pray that our Father who is the Father to the Fatherless will hold HIS precious children close tonight and look forward to the day when I get to be His hands and feet in loving on them soon.
